Making Memories

Grandpa and Granny bought Aiden his first fishing pool! Aiden was pretty excited about this. He practiced casting in the back yard and then it was time to go to the river. I love seeing this, it brings back memories for me when Dad would take me fishing. Even if I didn't last as long as he would have liked to be out on the water or I wasn't quiet enough to catch the fish I will still carry those memories with me forever. 

 

Fall is in the air

Aiden loved getting his hands into the pumpkins again this year. He also insisted on being Jake from Jake and the Never Land Pirates. So after searching and searching for a costume that didn't cost almost $100 we found one that just did not come with the boots, which was just fine with him! We went down town Duvall with our friends and the little ones and gathered all the candy we could. A few days before Halloween his school took a field trip. Aiden had so much fun running around in the hay and the tractor ride out to pumpkin patches where he got to pick out his own pumpkin to take home.

 

First Day!!!

Aiden started preschool this morning! He was not very happy about it but I'm hoping by the time I pick him up he will have had the best time ever. Fingers crossed!

Camping!

We went camping! Our friends Wes and Fallon have property at Lake Roosevelt so we all made the 4 hour drive to enjoy the weekend together. Unfortunately my husband was unable to get time off of work to join us. Next year HE WILL BE THERE!! We had lots to celebrate on this trip, a pregnancy, 2 birthdays, and an engagment!

Guys Day Out

Aiden stayed the night at Grandpa and Grannys a few days ago and the next day Grandpa took him shopping. They have been talking about going fishing a lot lately and Aiden is ready to go. He asks everyday if today is the day they get to go. Grandpa has told Aiden he has to pick up a fishing worm without gloves before he will take him! He has yet to do it, but maybe having that fishing pole will make him do it soon!

Ok I have to admit this is the second pan in 2 weeks we have made... they are that good! I add the whole bag of marshmallos and add less cereal than is called for in the recipe, that way they are nice and gooey. 

Flubber/Bummer

WARNING: After being excited about making this for Aiden and going through with it, I came across this and I have decided this will be going in the garbage after Aiden goes to bed tonight. Oh well and on to the next project I guess!

Goop

I came across this blog full of ideas for the kiddos to keep busy with (thank you Pinterest!). The goop was easy enough, cornstarch and water! Aiden was a bit hesitant at first but then he dove right in. He loved when we added the food coloring and all the designs it was making. I didn't measure out what I put in the bin, just dumped a full box of cornstarch in and slowly added the water until it was the consistency we wanted.

Mother's Day Weekend

This Mother's Day weekend was a special one, Grandma Diane was here to visit. We had an eventful weekend full of eating, drinking, and lots of play time in the sun. We could not have asked for a better weekend.

Aiden's Bathroom

I have been searching forever now for a shower curtain that I felt Aiden would love as he grows and I finally decided on the owls.  I've been having fun working on this room and finding things to make it complete. I'm still on the search for a couple for things for the other walls and then I feel it will be done.

I Think Summer is Coming!

Grandpa and Granny's house has been full of excitment this last week. The sun has finally started to come out and Aiden keeps asking to set up his pool. I think the water ballons and guns will hold him over for a while. It's just not that hot out yet!

Aiden's New Bed

Aiden was very excited about getting a big bed. After looking all over online and finally taking a trip to Target, we found this bedding. It actually matched the paint in his room already. Tristan is VERY happy we don't have to repaint again! Now I have to get creative and decorate the room.

Easter

Aiden had a blast this year. The Easter Bunny left him things all over our house and even stopped in at Grandpa and Granny's. He even left a new wheel barrel!

Seattle

Jenae is in town and since we all havn't been to Pikes Place in years we went down town. It was our first day in a LONG time with no rain and SUN!! It was cold but the skys were clear and it was great to walk around and see all the fresh food and flowers.
